What UNITY IS

UNITY is positive---it is Practical. Practical Christianity from the teachings of Jesus Christ--Christianity that you can put to
work and USE --- seven days a week.

UNITY tries to practice unconditional love. There is room for all in UNITY. Your personal beliefs and traditions are respected and accepted.

In UNITY we share our understandings and "good news"--but we don't try to change you. We believe that everyone will find their own way.

In UNITY we believe that you are a precious Child of God, born with Good within.

UNITY believes that there are other pathways to God; that UNITY is not the only WAY.

UNITY is rational. There is room for intelligence, logical thinking, knowledge, science--in short: TRUTH! In UNITY, we believe
that literal acceptance of myths, fairy-tales and flat-earth thinking isn't necessary. You don't have to compartmentalize your thinking
and park your brain at the door of the church.

Anyone, of any faith, denomination, or background, will be comfortable in a UNITY service.

UNITY is open-minded. UNITY is willing to consider other points of view, new insights and ideas. UNITY practices what it teaches:
"Accept what you find useful and simply leave the rest."

Now, with all that blather about positivity, perhaps we
should look at what UNITY is NOT.

SO

What UNITY IS NOT

UNITY does not try to convert all others to UNITY. UNITY does not tell you that your beliefs are wrong. In UNITY we believe
that we can attract like-minded and thinking people---that promotion and hard-sell evangelism are unnecessary.

UNITY does NOT use scare-tactics to control---no hellfire and damnation.

UNITY doesn't care about your color, your ancestors, your social status, or your financial standing.

UNITY is NOT ABOUT MONEY! Yes, a free-will love offering is taken up in the regular Sunday service (even churches have
to pay the electric bill and all the other "stuff"). Practical Christianity is part of the REAL WORLD). But there are no fundraising
drives or programs, and there are no pledges or other pressures for money.

NO HYPE
NO PRESSURE
NO GUILT TRIPS

JUST LOVE

UNITY does not criticize or speak negatively about other religions or denominations. There is much to be learned from others.

UNITY does not claim to have an exclusive corner on the TRUTH market. We try always to hold the TRUTH as we understand it.
We are always seeking, learning, growing, changing.
